How Decorate with a Black-and-White Theme
If you cant find any colors that seem to work in a room and youve always been attracted to the contrast of a black-and-white style, then consider a black-and-white color scheme. A black-and-white style will fit a number of dcors, including contemporary and French country. Although some find black and white to be rather limiting colors when it comes to dcor, you will find that there is often a lot of versatility when decorating a black-and-white-themed room.
Keep the Walls Light
With a black-and-white scheme, the last thing you want is black walls. Its better to keep the wall light with a white or soft ivory color. With light walls, you then provide the perfect backdrop for black shelves or hanging pieces of art on the walls. If youre looking for a little more contrast on the walls, then consider painting the crown molding and trim black instead.
Add Patterns to the Black-and-White Room
In order to avoid having the room seem boring, you need to make sure you add patterns to the dcor. Any type of pattern will work. You might choose stripes, checks, paisleys or toiles. If you are really daring, you might want to consider including animal prints, such as a zebra, into the dcor.
A couch or chair with a b lack-and-white pattern goes great in a living room or family room.
A black-and-white-patterned comforter is a great way to add interest to the bedroom.
Consider patterned window treatments or fabric on the chairs for a black-and-white kitchen or dining room.
You can also add a black-and-white pattern to a room with such things as blankets, towels, pillows, and wallpaper borders.
Change It Up with the Seasons
If you try to rotate your dcor according to the different seasons, a black-and-white theme creates a great background for all different types of seasonal decorating. You can choose to add smaller seasonal accessories, such as knickknacks, candles, and vases. You might also rotate larger items, such as an area rug on the floor, a blanket thrown on the back or a couch, or pieces of artwork hung on the wall.
Red holiday decorations work well with a black-and-white dcor.
For the fall season, simply add orange elements to the room for an instant autumnal feel.
For spring and summer, consider lightening the room up a bit more with brighter accents such as turquoise or yellow.
When decorating a room in a black-and-white style, it doesnt have to be difficult or expensive. You should easily be able to find pieces that fit perfectly into the black-and-white color scheme and yet also match your specific style. Its also not necessary to strictly stick to the black-and-white theme. By adding a hint of color here and there, you can add some personality into the room. Even though its a black-and-white room, you need to be sure that you add your own style and flair to make the room feel like your own.

How can I remove a makeup stain from white fabric when bleach doesn't work?
The makeup in question is foundation--Almay Truly Lasting Color, which is living up to its name far too well! The fabric is a heavy 65% polyester/35% cotton lab coat.
I first tried applying Stain Stick to the spot and then laundering in hot water and hanging to dry, per my stain chart. When that didn't pan out I tried directly applying bleach with a Q-tip. The stain hasn't even lightened.

Buy a new one. Next step would be stop wearing so much make up! If you need that much make up, then that probably means you are ugly. In that case it does not matter what you wear, because people are going to be distracted by your ugly face, that they wouldn't even notice the stain on your coat.
