Golf Equipment For Beginners

You don't need as much equipment as you'd think when you first start golfing. Until you've learned more of the basics of the game, you won't need all the bells and whistles that are available. Until then, you won't really benefit from using the more advanced equipment anyway. As you assemble your beginning golf kit, keep the following important pieces in mind. Also, one thing that I've been adding into my golf training workouts are TRX straps. It is a great system.

A good pair of gloves are an essential part of a good start up investment in golfing. Golf gloves are designated for left or right handed golfers and typically come in packs of one. You can find them in pairs but it isn't necessary to purchase two gloves for golf unless that is simply your personal preference. So, why are gloves so important when golfing? The biggest reason is they keep you from developing blisters which can be common from gripping the club. It's important to make sure you get a glove that fits your hand well without cutting off the circulation so that it doesn't interfere with game play. You will also want to invest a high quality putter. Many people spend all their time and attention focused on drivers and woods hoping to get extra distance. But if you focus more on your short game, the strokes that take place on or near the green, you will really be able to take your game to the next level. Go to a golf store to try out a few putters to see which loft, shaft length, and grip you prefer, then compare prices online so you get the best deal.

Finally, you need to invest in golf club head covers. When you take the time to assemble a good set of golf clubs, they are an investment. It can easily cost a few hundred dollars for even a beginners set of clubs. Protecting this investment from banging together in your car or in your closet by investing in quality golf head covers will lengthen the life of your clubs.

There are all kinds of covers available from the utilitarian to the whimsical so have fun with this purchase and let it say something about your own personal style.

Few items are as essential to a good game of golf as the ones mentioned above. New golfers need all the help they can get. These pieces of golf equipment are not expensive but will have a huge impact on the quality of your game. When you invest in smaller pieces of necessary equipment now, you can save your money later for some of the larger investments that will help you kick your game up a notch. Last but not least, don't forget to look at these TRX Suspension Trainer reviews and also here is a TRX promo code.

I'm having a indoor photoshoot today with my friend. She wants me to take pictures of her. But I'm not having

I'm having a indoor photo shoot today with my friend. She wants me to take pictures of her. But I'm not having proper studio equipment (umbrellas etc). I only have white backdrop, one-two lamps and one speedlight SB-600 and good Nikkor lens (AF Nikkor 50mm F/1.8D). Some hints what could I do? Using Matrix Metering or something else etc.

You seem to have all you need, but I would forget using the SB-600's if you do not have a lot of experience using them (it is tough to guess how the light will describe your model)

Use your lamps (hopefully 500 watts or better) ... umbrellas are only $25 (Lowel). For more light, you can get some construction lights for under $40 to add light to your "set".

Matrix metering is the hot ticket, so if you are used to using it, go for it. Be sure to take the white balance off "auto" and use the incandescent setting.

Buy some black yardage (four yards should be enough) from the $1 table at Wal-mart. Black is also a great background ... just shoot at night so you don't get any competing light from the windows.

Turn on the music and have fun.

Take a look at sites like Model Mayhem and One Model Place for lighting ideas.

A Year at Game Informer (Game Informer)

I was tinkering with the sea of scattered equipment in Game Informer's make-
shift video storage room when Matt Miller told me that I'd be going on the
next cover trip: "They're making an Elder Scrolls V, it's called Skyrim."

I was plucked out of a world where the"big get" was sitting down to interview
the mayor of a small town in Minnesota and placed in a job where I had to
debate with Bethesda's Todd Howard whether or not the video tour of his studio
should be shot handheld or with a tripod. That first trip was eye-opening.
Working in an office filled with talented, intelligent, and hilarious writers
was shocking, but seeing an hour-long demo of an incredible game that the
outside world didn't even know existed was when the bizarre nature of my new
job sank in.

November 3rd was my one-year anniversary as a video producer at Game Informer.
Time has flown by and I haven't written as many blogs as I had hoped, but I
thought it would be nice to give an update with my thoughts on the last year.

Second only to the fantastic interaction with Game ...
